James Zink

James Zink - Cowboy, Rodeo Competitor, and Rancher

Over the past 11 years, James Zink has worked across the restaurant, remodeling, and ranching industries. James Zink’s career in ranching began in 2012, when he spent summers working at his grandfather’s ranch.

From 2020 to 2022, Mr. Zink did excavation, foundation, and framing work with various construction contractors, in addition to digging line trenches. He has experience as a load, skid steer, and backhoe operator and in trim and frame carpentry. He also has expertise in blueprint reading, door hanging, putting up drywall, and glass installation.

More recently, James Zink has been working toward becoming a competitor with the Professional Cowboys Association (PRCA). By the end of 2025, Mr. Zink will have completed the requirements for membership to the PRCA. His experience in competitive rodeo includes riding at the Tejas Rodeo and at events across Texas as an amateur. He is also a team roper and ranch hand. As a professional rider, he will participate in a World Series of Team Roping event.

In addition to rodeo and ranching, Mr. Zink enjoys playing football, baseball, and basketball, as well as wrestling.
